NAVIGATION & SPECIAL NOTES

Below is an update of current works:

*Please take note of the date change for Nafford lock re-opening which is now scheduled for Friday 16th May.*

Below is an update of current works being undertaken and completed and any issues identified so far.

 

Upstream of Wyre Village. A large tree protrudes into the navigation. Navigation past is now possible but care should be taken.

 Clopton Bridge. Extensive dredging undertaken for over a week has removed the silt build up above the bridge. The navigation channel depth is back to normal.

 Nafford Lock. An emergency stoppage is currently in force. A separate Stoppage Notice has been issued. The lock is now scheduled to re-open on Friday 16th May.

 Strensham Lock. An emergency stoppage is currently in force and the lock is closed until Friday 16th May. A separate Stoppage Notice has been issued.

 Evesham Lock. The upstream waiting mooring on the weir barrier is partially blocked with debris.

 Nafford Lock Top Entrance Channel. A silt bar has built up across the top entrance of the lock reducing navigation channel depth to less than 4 feet.

 Pershore Lock Bottom Entrance Channel. A silt bar has built up across the bottom entrance of the lock reducing navigation channel depth to less than 4 feet. When navigating downstream keep to the right. When navigating upstream towards the lock keep to the left.

 Pershore Lock Top Entrance Channel. A silt bar has built up across the top entrance of the lock reducing navigation channel depth to less than 4 feet.
