To register your change of owner / master you will need the following information:

• Current licence number
• Name of boat
• New owner / master name
• New owner address
• New owner telephone & email

The new owner / master cannot be identified as the broker who dealt with the sale.

We will send a form for formal completion by post.

Please note:

If you sell or transfer the boat to another person the Trust must be informed of the change, and the new owner / master’s name, address & contact details must be provided. The existing owner or master will remain liable for any licence tolls until the transfer in the Trusts records are complete. It is essential that the Trust is advised of the new owner / master. This applies to boats that stay or leave the navigation. 

Once we have the new owner details confirmed we can then transfer the registered keeper. The existing owner remains responsible for registering the boat until we have the new owner details.
