Strensham
Strensham Lock is located just outside Eckington along the River Avon at Lower Strensham. This remarkable lock is notable for its unique swing bridge, which spans the lock chamber. Before the lock can be operated, the swing bridge must be moved aside to ensure a clear passage.

At busy times it may be necessary for boats to make the best use of the moorings available. Please treat other river users with courtesy and, where necessary, moor close up to the next boat or even breast up alongside. This is particularly important if rising river levels require boats to stop and moor. Mooring in lock landing stages and in lock approach channels is permitted only when locking and at no other time.
